Palestine American League

About Us

In the heart of the Sacramento region, a dedicated nonprofit organization is committed to uplifting Palestinian voices through various cultural events and educational initiatives. By fostering a deeper understanding of Palestinian heritage, this organization provides a platform for storytelling, art, and dialogue, enabling community members to connect and celebrate their rich culture. Through performances and educational programs, we aim to empower individuals, advocate for social justice, and promote awareness about the Palestinian experience both locally and beyond. By engaging with diverse audiences, PAL strives to create a more inclusive society that values and honors the contributions of Palestinian individuals and communities, ensuring their stories and perspectives are heard and respected.

Our Founder & President

Yassar Dahbour is the President and founding member of the Palestine American League (PAL), a grassroots organization dedicated to advancing the rights, dignity, and liberation of the Palestinian people. A lifelong Palestinian-American activist, Yassar has been at the forefront of organizing in Northern California and beyond for over three decades, building bridges between local communities and global struggles for justice.

Yassar’s approach is grounded in the belief that true liberation is rooted in community power, principled solidarity, and a refusal to remain silent in the face of oppression. Whether organizing mass mobilizations, meeting with elected officials, or mentoring the next generation of Palestinian leaders, Yassar brings unwavering clarity, compassion, and conviction to the movement.
